Where is Chumash Casino Resort located?

We are located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, about 30 miles north of Santa Barbara. The resort address is 3400 East Highway 246, Santa Ynez, CA 93460. Click here for map and directions.

Where is the Employment Center for Chumash Enterprises located

The Chumash Employment Resource Center (CERC) is located just a few miles west of the Casino Resort at 585 McMurray Road, Buellton, CA 93427.

How can I find out how much a certain job pays?

All of our positions' pay rates vary depending upon the job and your qualifications and experience. Please call or visit the Chumash Employee Resource Center for more information about the position you are interested in.

Do I need former hotel, restaurant, or casino experience?

We value all experience and will evaluate your resume and the position you are applying for on a case-by-case basis. While some positions (EMT, Chef, Transportation, etc.) require specific training and certification, many of our positions are perfect for 'go-getters' with a great attitude and willingness to work! We also pride ourselves on our team member development and will gladly get you on-the-job training for a position you may want to work towards, and we offer a great Tuition Reimbursement Program if you want to receive additional training at an approved school.

How many employees work for the Chumash Enterprise?

That number changes almost daily, but as one of the largest private employers in Santa Barbara County, our workforce is upwards of 2000.

If I am hired, what hours might I be required to work?

Each position varies. Most of the positions posted on the website list the required hours, but please speak with a recruiter for the department you wish to apply for a more detailed information.

What are the qualifications needed to work at Chumash Enterprises?

The qualifications vary by department and position, but for a good overview, please select the position you are interested in for a detailed list of requirements.

How old do you have to be to work at the Chumash Casino Resort?

Most positions require a minimum age of 18 years, however some positions have other age limits. Please view the position posting for specific requirements.

Do I need a high school diploma?

Each position has different educational requirements. Please view the position posting for specific prerequisites.

Does Chumash Enterprises offer employment opportunities for college students?

At this time we do not have a specific program designed for college students. However we do offer many part time opportunities that may accommodate school schedules and employment needs.

Does the employer provide transportation to and from the Chumash Casino Resort?

Yes. Our Employee Shuttle Service is designed to accommodate our employees' schedules. We proudly offer 24/7 transportation for our employees from the following locations at this time: Lompoc, Santa Maria, Buellton and Solvang.

A current employee referred me for a position, where can I list them as a referral?

If you are a new applicant and registering on our employment website, you will have an opportunity to list their name as an Employee Referral Source. If you already have a profile on our employment website, please log in, select to View Application, and edit Personal information. Next to "How did you hear about us?" you can select from the drop drown list: "Employee Referral" as your source and list the employee name in the next box.

Will a uniform be provided if I am hired?

For most positions within the Casino Resort, and other properties, a uniform will be provided. Please discuss with your recruiter for additional information on the particular position you are applying.

How long after my start of employment do benefits begin?

Healthcare benefits are available for eligible employees, the first of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. Retirement savings can begin as early as after your 1st paycheck!

Do all positions offer Benefits?

We offer a full suite of benefits to our team members who maintain full-time status (regularly work at least 30 hours per week).
While our Part Time employees are not eligible for all benefits, they are eligible for 401(k), wellness programs and Paid Time Off programs.

When will I receive detailed information about the Benefits offered?

We offer an extensive New Hire Orientation when you start. During orientation, you will be provided an overview of the benefit offerings.

Does the Chumash Enterprises promote within?

Yes. Your career growth is important to us, and we want to provide you with the opportunity to explore across our entire enterprise. As long as you are in good standing with your current department, we encourage any team member interested in a new position to look at the open positions and apply.

If I become an employee of the Chumash Enterprises, will I be eligible to apply for other roles?

Yes. As long as you are in good standing and have completed six months with your current department, we encourage any team member interested in advancing their careers to apply for open positions.

Application Process

I don't see the job or location I am interested in on CHUMASHCAREERS.com. Can I still apply for it?

We welcome you to submit an application and resume for our Career Opportunities position on the website. We will keep your resume on file and try to match you with new positions as they open.

I applied for a job through CHUMASHCAREERS.com. When will I hear back from someone?

Once you apply online, your application is directed to the appropriate Recruiter for review. If you would like to follow-up on your application status, please contact the Chumash Employment Resource Center (CERC) at 805-691-1201.

After I submitted an application, I was scheduled for an interview. How can I check to see what the date and time of my interview is, or reschedule it?

Please contact the Recruiter that scheduled your interview to confirm or reschedule.

I have a scheduled interview appointment and need directions to the interview site. Where can I find them?

Please contact the Recruiter who scheduled the interview to confirm the location and directions.

How do I withdraw my application for a position?

Log into your profile on the website, select "What jobs have I applied for on this site?" Then select the icon next to the position you would like to withdraw your application from. Note, this cannot be reversed and you will need to re-apply if you delete in error or change your mind.

I am having difficulty submitting my application. Where may I find assistance?

Please call the Chumash Employment Resource Center (CERC) at 805-691-1201 for help. You may also come in to apply at one of our courtesy computer stations at our resource center. We are located at 585 McMurray Rd., Buellton, CA 93427.

Which Internet browser is best to use when completing the application?

The application software is compatible with all popular browsers, although we have found that applying from a tablet or smartphone can be an issue. We recommend using a desktop computer.

How much time does it take to fill out the application?

The time will vary from applicant to applicant depending on the amount of experience and education. We recommend you give yourself at least 30 minutes to complete the application. If at any time you need to pause the process, your work will be saved from that point. NOTE: You must log back into your profile in order to complete the application AND apply for an active position in order to fully complete the application process.

How can I update my application?

Is a computer required to apply for a job with Chumash Enterprises?

Yes, the Chumash Employment Resource Center (CERC) has computers available for you to apply online. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm

Can I apply using my smart phone or tablet?

You may view open positions on our employment website from your mobile device, however it is best to apply for a position via a desktop computer.

How can I edit or check on the status of my application?

Please log into your application profile on the employment website. Select "View Application" under "Other things I can do". You will need to review and edit all sections and select "continue" to save changes. Once you apply online, your application is directed to the appropriate recruiter for review. Can I apply for more than one job?

Yes, you may apply for up to three (3) open and active positions at any time.

What if I have forgotten my username/password?

At the login page, click the "Forgot your password?" link and you will be asked to enter your username; which is typically your email. A reset password link will be sent to that email.

Can I provide a resume along with my application?

Yes, you will have an opportunity to upload a resume and cover letter while completing your profile. You may also paste it if you prefer.

If I started an application previously, but never completed it, how do I complete it?

If at any time you need to pause the process, your work will be saved from that point. NOTE: You must log back into your profile in order to complete the application AND apply for an active position in order to fully complete the application process.

I applied for a position in the past, how do I complete a new application?

You will need to access your previous application profile by logging into the website. Your username is your email address, but if you have forgotten your log in information and need assistance with your username or password, please contact the Chumash Employment Resource Center (CERC) at 805-691-1201. You will need to check that your application profile is up to date, by selecting "View Application" and updating all sections. Last, you will select up to three (3) positions of interest by clicking on the "Job Title". Select "Apply Online" to proceed and complete the application.

When I try to register, it states that my email is already in use. Where can I find assistance?

When I enter my Employment History, the system will not let me proceed to the next step. Where can I find assistance?

First, please check that you add 15 years of complete employment history. You MUST explain all gaps in your employment. Employment history records that have been explained are marked. Those that are not are marked, you must click the icon and type the explanation for that gap. Please call the Chumash Employment Resource Center (CERC) at 805-691-1201 for help.

Do I have to list my social security number on the application?

Yes, your social security number is required to complete an application. Your number is encrypted and highly secured.

What does PT1 and PT2 mean?

PT1 status is a part time position working between 20 and 29 hours per week. PT2 status is a part time position working 0 to 19 hours per week.

How can I see a description of the position I want to apply for?

Visit our employment website and select "View Openings". Once you select the title of the position you are interested in, you will be able to view the job description

Can I forward a position to a friend that is seeking employment?

Yes! Select a position of interest by clicking the Job Title. At the bottom of the job description select "Send To Friend". You will need to enter your friends email address in order to send it.

Testing and Interview Process

Do all jobs require a gaming license?

Some of our positions require a gaming license, to learn more about the gaming license process, visit Hiring Process.

How do I get a gaming license if I need one?

You are in luck! We provide the licensing necessary to obtain your license. To learn more about the gaming license process, visit Hiring Process.

I have a casino license already, will I need to get a new one?

Yes, Gaming Licenses are not transferable. You will need to complete our Licensing process to be eligible for employment.

Will there be pre-employment testing for the position I applied for?

We require all applicants to pass a background check required to obtain a gaming license. For more information, visit Hiring Process.

Does Chumash Enterprises conduct background checks as part of the hiring process?

Yes, part of the hiring process requires an in-depth background check. For more information, visit Hiring Process.

What are the requirements to obtain a gaming license?

Why does Chumash Enterprise look at credit history when making employment decisions?

It is a requirement for the gaming license process. For more information please visit Hiring Process.

What happens if I do not pass the credit history check?

You may not be eligible to obtain a gaming license. We do have other positions available that do not require you to pass a credit check. Please check the Job Description for licensing requirements.

How long does the hiring process take to complete?

The length of time to complete the hiring process has many variables. Timing can, and will, be dependent on the department needs and the gaming process. Most applicants complete the process in 2-3 weeks. For more information, visit Hiring Process.
